The New World Extended Cut

Terrance Malick’s film The New World will be getting an extended cut version on DVD coming out on October 7th this year. It will contain 30 more minutes of footage giving a new run time of 172 minutes. Whoa.. The historical film that stars Colin Ferrell  and Christain Bale in a retelling of the Captain Smith and Pocahontas story will be priced at $19.97 SRP.  You can probably find the original DVD in the bargain bin somewhere. The only extra materials on this DVD listed consists of a  comprehensive, ten-part documentary Making the New World capturing the unique challenges of creating this historic epic.
