This classic comedy action flick and its not so classic sequel are coming out on Blu-ray October 14th from Fox. You too will be able to watch our heroes get to ‘the heart’ in practical Italian shoes for $39.98 SRP a piece. Looks like the extra material is recycled from previousreleases so I’m not sure paying a premium would be worth it for these films (especially for Jewel). But lets have a look at the specs anyway:
You see the irony here, although Fox screwed up the airing and killed the show almost right away they seem to be milking this one aren’t they. The cult hit Firefly will be coming out on Blu-ray November 11th. So all you browncoats out there get ready to fork over $89.98 for the swiftly canceled series. Even I did not get a chance to see what the hubub was about, so this may be it.
Big Sopranos fan are ya? Then I have some great news for you! HBO will be releasing the entire series onto one giant gift set on November 11th. This set weighs in over 10 pounds! You know how many concrete shoes this could make? In order to get your hands on this one prepare to take out a small loan too, its $399.99! Whoa, even that’s a bit much for a wiseguy. What else do you get for these kind of bones?

According to the press release supplies will be limited, whatever that means. In addition to the new content, “there is a bonus Digital Copy of the film, a 52-page hardcover art book with a personal message from Snyder, a lucite display with motion film image and six collectible photo cards.” All this for $49.92 SRP, and no sign of the Blu-ray version either, at least for this incarnation. Play it again Sam..and again..and again. For you fans of this classic Bogart film, Warner Bros is pulling no punches and giving you the ultimate package for this film in three collectors editions on December 2nd. This will mark its debut on blu-ray as well as DVD in a new Ultimate Collectors Edition. The previously released two disc special edition is also being refreshed for this date. To entice you to pick up this disc, Warners is throwing in some extra stuff (kind of like the Christmas Story set) that will sit on your shelf taking up valuable space. “The premium giftset is elegantly boxed in an intricate laser-cut Moroccan design and will include such collectibles as replicas of actual props (Victor Laszlo’s “Letter of Transit”) as well as a number of Warner studio documents (an executive’s letter commanding a new PR image for Bogart from gangster to romantic lead; a note from producer Hal Wallis re-titling the film to Casablanca; and a memo from Wallis to Jack Warner strongly urging casting Bogart over George Raft). The DVD set will also contain a branded passport holder, luggage tag, photo book and a mail-in offer for a reproduction of the original movie poster. ” This will cost you $59.98 SRP for the DVD and $64.99 SRP for the Blu-ray of course. Will Ferrels somewhat funny comedy from a few years ago is coming out on Blu-ray on October 28th from Warner Bros. There aren’t too many details yet, but it looks like it will come with a digital edition, commentary by Will Ferrell and Jon Favreau, something called Elf Karaoke and Buddys Adventure Game.
