Holy craptasticaly cheesey Batman! Thats right folks, tune in July 1st, in an obvious promotional tie in to the new Batman film Fox is releasing this campy Batman to Blu-ray. Why? Blu-ray? Honestly is this called for? Fear not, citizen, you will be able to marvel at the glory that is spandex Batman Adam West in HD. To add insult to injury, this DVD will cost ya $39.98, thats like 5 Euros!
Just as an FYI we are in the process of moving to another host this weekend. Things will be a little wonky for a few days as we transition to our new provider. Hopefully everything will go smooth like butta!
Oscar winning film There Will Be Blood will be making its way to a single disc and 2 disc DVD edition on April 8th from Paramount. Pricing has been published at $29.99 SRP for the single and $37.99 SRP for the double. Quite steep for a regular DVD, I’m sure it will sell for much less. Again, no mention of a Hi def version, see what happens when you bet on the wrong horse. Its amazing to me that it would take the company this long to transition only to Blu.
Tim Burtons latest collaboration with Johnny Depp, Edward Scissorhands, er I mean Sweeney Todd will be making its debut on April 1st in double and single DVD editions from Paramount. Notice the lack of a hi def version..(HD DVD is dead *cough* ). So, you Blu-rayers will most likely have to wait until Paramount gets its act together.
Listen up..punk. Feeling lucky are ya? Yeah? Good! Because Warners is bringing our favorite renegade cop to a complete box set on June 3rd, or if you prefer in separate editions as well. It will be in both standard DVD and Blu-ray, nice! So go ahead, make your day. Punk…
On April 8th, Fox is planning to release a box set in honor of her 100th birthday. For you classic film fans out there, this set will include the titles All About Eve, The Virgin Queen, Phone Call From A Stranger, Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte, and The Nanny. The box set will be priced at around $49.98 SRP. But if the box set aint yer thing, each title will also come separately.
